About The Owner
My name is James Bob, and I’m the owner of Top Notch Painting & Construction LLC here in Vancouver, Washington. I’ve been working in the painting and construction industry for over 20 years, starting right after high school. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects and learn what it really takes to do this work the right way, with quality, attention to detail, and pride in the finished product.
In 2015, my first child was born, and that changed everything for me. I wanted to build something of my own, something that would give me more flexibility to be present with my family while still doing work I’m proud of. That’s what pushed me to start Top Notch Painting & Construction in 2016.
I started this company with a simple goal: to provide honest, reliable service and deliver results that last. Whether it’s a small residential project or a larger commercial job, I personally manage every project from start to finish. With over two decades of hands-on experience, I use proven methods, high-quality materials, and I never cut corners. We are fully licensed, bonded, and insured, so our customers can feel confident their home or business is in good hands. To me, it’s not just about making something look good today, it’s about making sure it holds up for years and that the customer is truly happy with the result.
I believe in showing up on time, being upfront, and treating people with respect. Most of my work comes from referrals and repeat customers, and I take a lot of pride in that. It tells me that people trust my work and feel confident recommending me to friends and family.
